It was a great way to end my 2009 sessions … a bright sunny day after days and days of gray, and a 5 day old baby girl. It really couldn’t have been any better. {see the video here}
And the first greeting I got as I stepped inside came from their dog Aislin. I could tell who the protector of all things Lily was right away. Kris told me a story about Lily crying and Aislin pulling one of Lily’s gifts off the table and placing it outside her door as a way to comfort her. Yep, she’s well loved in that house.
So you can guess she wasn’t so sure of me and my lens Cyclops
but in the end she must have thought I was alright, because I was allowed to photograph and even hold sweet, precious, tiny Lily. Thanks Aislin!
Alrighty, so now onto the star of the show. Introducing 5-day-old Lily Rene. True Sweetness + Light.

It’s not hard to see there’s a lot of love in this family!

My first born had a Christmas day due date, but came early on the 16th. I can remember realizing the blessing of receiving the best Christmas gift ever! I’m sure Amber and Kris feel the same way!
