storming the brain | muncie, indiana photography

Since October I’ve been in the process of brainstorming. Brainstorming new pricing structures, brainstorming new colors, brainstorming new packaging, brainstorming new designs … seriously my brain was stormed out. As were the other brain’s I picked (mainly my husband’s … but thank you also to all my friend’s and client’s brains I picked too!)

Turns out owning your own business is a lot of work!

But it’s worth it. Well, let me put it this way, it’s worth the time and effort to brainstorm and to review the positives and negatives of the past year so that having your own business doesn’t completely fry you and make you wonder why you turned your love of photography into a business in the first place. That’s where I was back in October. But thankfully after all that brainstorming that’s not where I am right now. And thankfully I’m back to remembering why I love to do what I do.

And you know how it is when you’ve put a lot of heart into something, you want to show it off right? I just passed on my new packaging with one of my new digital collections to baby Lily’s parents and am super pleased at how it all turned out.

I love the earthy feel of the dvd case and the vision behind Loktah with everything being renewable and earth friendly.

So there’s just a small piece of the fruit of my brainstorming. I’m looking forward to what 2010 has in store for me and you!

Gail - LOVE it Jayne! Right there with ya…always something we’re working on right? Why do I foolishly tell myself every year that January will be my down time? HA!
