Being a lifestyle photographer (or portrait-journalist) is by far the best job I’ve ever had (not a real shocker I know)! To rest behind my lens, laughing and capturing those emotions just does it for me. But to be a part of a lifestyle photography session—to be on the other side of the lens—is a pretty gratifying adventure that I hope you get to experience at least once! Think of a photo session with me as some good ol’ family bonding time. Have fun and be a part of the photography adventure where you roll and tickle, laugh and giggle. This is your session. Your story being told through my lens. Your family. There’s nothing really posed about it. It’s about being who you are and letting me be a part of the ride with you for a short time. And then after our short time has ended you’ll be presented with your story that will tell that moment in time over and over again even when the memory has faded. Sounds pretty fantastic doesn’t it? I know it is because I’ve been on both sides of the lens. I love the stories I’ve told and I love the stories that have been told about my own family. I replay them while looking through our albums and walking down the picture-filled hallways. I love that I have more than just a snapshot of my children, of my husband. I invest in capturing their moments, their personality … their story. And I am so thankful … most of all for life, then for the life I get to replay every once in awhile through a photograph. It’s why I love to do what I do, not only for myself, but for you.

So with all that said, a photo session with me is an investment. Not only financially, but also in heart and time … for both of us. storytelling rate {$250 due at the time of your session}

• Time together to tell your story (usually 1 to 2 hours)

• 30-40 images shown in your personal online proofing gallery

• My eye, my creativity, my heart put into editing your photographs

• Includes up to 5 people [Please add $25 for each additional person after 5]

how do i {purchase} images

After your session you will decide between the purchase of one of three digital collections that I offer—all of which contain your entire high-resolution gallery on CD with unlimited printing rights, or you may choose to buy individual files, prints or products from The Shop without the purchase of a digital collection. With this option a minimum purchase is required.

why do you offer all the {digital images}?

Honestly, it was really hard for me to have my clients leave an ordering session without all the photos in their hand. Maybe I’m too attached to my clients and to their photographs that hold so much love and emotion, but whatever it is it made me reconsider how I wanted to run this aspect of my business. Now you have the option of leaving with all your images together to tell your whole story. You’ll have the opportunity to look back on these photos and find a different favorite each week if you want. I, on the other hand, will feel extremely blessed that you are holding onto every photo that I put so much heart into.

the {shop}

With that said, I’m also a firm believer about getting those digital files off the computer and onto the walls and into the hands of the people you love. Whether that’s by prints or albums, custom-made storyboards or cards, I’m a touchy-feely kinda girl when it comes to this stuff. I need to see with my own eyes the vibrancy of the photo and touch the album and turn the pages to get a real sense of what I’m experiencing. That’s why I also give you a Printing Guide with references to a trusted online photo lab. I also offer extra items in The Shop. Albums that are themselves so lovely you’ll want to open them again and again. Custom designed storyboards with your favorite images. You get the point. Shopping is fun. Especially when it’s your family’s story being told and displayed!
