what {edit} means

When I say that I edit and color correct your images, what does that mean? For me it means I give a lot of care and attention to each image taken. This makes the results of your session as beautiful and as unique as you. Since I shoot in RAW, every image needs contrast, sharpening and color adjustments. But from there I like to make colors pop. I love the classic black and white and the moody black and whites. I like crisp and clean and I like edgy with textures. It’s what I see in my mind’s eye for each photo. Or maybe how’d I see the photo in ‘real’ life. Turns out I’m sort of an optimist when it comes to life and photography combined.

what EDIT {doesn’t} mean

It doesn’t mean that I get rid of all imperfections. Because our imperfections are what make us US. Yes, I will smooth away the occasional blemish and may be able to soften a few wrinkles, but for the most part I keep you being you. I am not a photoshop queen, nor do I strive to be. I just want to make an image snap and turn it into art, by keeping you the beautiful person you already are.
